Terms of Use
These terms are the agreement between you and Halfdan Harring for using Dolphin Beyond. Plain language, no surprises — by playing, you agree to them.
The short version

- Dolphin Beyond is a game you can play for personal, non-commercial fun.
- Play fair — do not cheat, tamper with the game, or submit fake scores.
- Keep your diver name clean and do not impersonate other people.
- The game, its code, art and sound are original and belong to the developer.
- The game is provided "as is", and you can stop using it at any time.
Who we are
Dolphin Beyond is designed and developed by Halfdan Harring, an independent app and game developer based in Aarhus, Denmark ("we", "us"). You can reach us at the email below.
Using Dolphin Beyond
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to download and play Dolphin Beyond for your own entertainment. You must be able to form a binding agreement to use the game, and you agree to follow these terms and any applicable App Store rules.
- Do not copy, modify, reverse-engineer, or redistribute the game or its assets.
- Do not use bots, scripts, modified clients, or exploits to alter play or scores.
- Do not disrupt, overload, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to our services.
Your account
You can play as a guest, or create an account with email or Sign in with Apple to save your runs and appear on leaderboards. You are responsible for keeping your sign-in secure and for activity on your account. How we handle your data is described in our Privacy Policy.
Fair play and leaderboards
Dolphin Beyond runs on a deterministic engine, and submitted runs are verified server-side so that leaderboards stay fair. We may reject, remove, or reset scores and rankings that we reasonably believe are invalid, manipulated, or obtained by cheating, and we may restrict accounts that do so.
Choosing a diver name
Your diver name is shown to other players on public leaderboards unless you set your profile to private. You are responsible for the name you choose, and it must not be offensive, hateful, or infringing, and must not impersonate another person or brand.
Diver names are filtered automatically, and we may change or reset a name that breaks these rules.
Our content and intellectual property
All of the game’s code, art, characters, sound, and design are original works owned by Halfdan Harring and are protected by intellectual-property laws. Nothing in these terms transfers those rights to you.
Dolphin Beyond is an independent homage to the classic dolphin-diving games and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or published by their creators. It uses none of those games’ code, art, or audio.
Third-party services
Dolphin Beyond relies on Apple (for the App Store and Sign in with Apple) and Google Firebase (for accounts, verified scores, notifications, and analytics). Your use of those features is also subject to those providers’ own terms.
Availability and changes to the game
We work to keep the game available and improving, and we may update, change, or discontinue features at any time, including through live updates. We do not promise the game will always be available, uninterrupted, or error-free.
Disclaimers
Dolphin Beyond is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the fullest extent allowed by law. We do not warrant that the game will meet your expectations or be free of errors.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Halfdan Harring will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of Dolphin Beyond. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have that cannot legally be limited, including your mandatory rights as a consumer.
Ending your access
You can stop playing at any time and permanently delete your account and data from inside the app. We may suspend or end access for anyone who breaks these terms or misuses the service.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Denmark, without affecting any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have where you live.
Changes to these terms
If we make material changes to these terms, we will update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Continuing to play after an update means you accept the revised terms.
