Privacy Policy
Dolphin Beyond is a physics arcade game by Halfdan Harring. This policy explains what the app collects, why, and how you can access or delete your data. Plain language, no surprises.
The short version

- You can play without giving us your real name — a chosen "diver name" is all a profile needs.
- We collect what is needed to run accounts, verified leaderboards, and optional notifications.
- We do not sell your data, and we do not track you across other apps or websites for advertising.
- You can permanently delete your account and data from inside the app at any time.
Who we are
Dolphin Beyond is designed and developed by Halfdan Harring, an independent app and game developer based in Aarhus, Denmark, who is the data controller for the app. You can reach us at the email below for any privacy question or request.
What we collect
We only collect what the game actually uses. Depending on how you play and sign in, that can include:
- Account information: an email address if you create an email account, or Apple’s private relay identifier if you use Sign in with Apple. Guest play creates an anonymous account with no email.
- Your chosen diver name, which is shown on public leaderboards unless you set your profile to private.
- Gameplay data: your scores, verified run inputs (used to validate leaderboard scores), best combos, streaks, and similar stats.
- Notifications: if you allow them, a device push token so we can send game notifications.
- Usage and device data: basic analytics and diagnostic information (such as app interactions and a device/app identifier) to keep the game working and improve it.
How we use it
We use the information above to:
- Create and maintain your account and profile.
- Run fair, verified leaderboards and show your rank.
- Send notifications you have opted in to.
- Understand how the game is used so we can fix problems and improve it.
- Keep the service secure and prevent cheating or abuse.
Legal bases (GDPR)
Where the GDPR applies, we rely on: performance of a contract (to provide the game and your account), our legitimate interests (to keep the game secure, verify scores, and improve it), and your consent (for example, push notifications). You can withdraw consent at any time in your device or in-app settings.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with service providers that operate the app on our behalf:
- Google Firebase (authentication, database, cloud functions, messaging and analytics) processes account, gameplay, and usage data as our processor.
- Apple processes your sign-in if you use Sign in with Apple.
- Your public diver name and score are visible to other players on the leaderboard unless you choose private visibility, which shows you as "Anonymous Diver" to others.
How long we keep it, and deleting your data
We keep your account data while your account exists. You can permanently delete your account and associated data at any time from inside the app: go to Profile, then Settings, then "Delete account". This removes your profile, diver name, leaderboard scores, saved runs, and stats, and revokes your sign-in. See the account deletion guide for the exact steps and timeline.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. You can exercise deletion directly in the app, or contact us for any other request and we will respond as required by law.
Children
Dolphin Beyond is rated for all ages and is not directed to children under 13. It does not require any personal information to play beyond a chosen diver name. If you believe a child has provided us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Continued use of Dolphin Beyond after an update means you accept the revised policy.
